Detailed Tsavo West Elephant Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi / Mombasa to Tsavo West National Park
You will be met by our company driver / guide who will pick you up from the airport or from your hotel in Nairobi and you depart Nairobi for the beautiful rugged wilderness of Tsavo West National Park. Embark on a game drive when you reach the park as you drive to your camp / lodge through Mtito Andei gate for check in and lunch.
After lunch, you will go on an afternoon game drive in search for lion, cheetah, elephant, zebra, ostrich, buffalo and so much more. You will also visit the park’s Rhino Sanctuary – Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary for a chance to see the critically endangered black rhinos. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp / lodge.
Day 2: Full day game drive in Tsavo West National Park
Wake up to a beautiful morning in Tsavo West NP. After your breakfast, you will go on a morning game drive to rise and shine with the wilderness and its residents. Get a chance to spot the lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, cheetahs, giraffes, warthogs, wild dogs, lesser kudu and much more. Lunch at your camp / lodge.
After lunch, head out for another game drive to get a chance to see more animals that roam the different corners of the park in its different habitats. One of the great surprises of Tsavo West is Mzima Springs, a naturally fed oasis brimming with wildlife, exotic fish, crocodiles, hippos, and birds. You can leave the safari car for a guided walk along the green shores, taking in this scenic landscape. Retreat from the day’s game drives and head back to your camp / lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Depart for Nairobi
Pre-breakfast morning game drive for a chance to spot the predators or the nocturnal animals in the park. After breakfast, check out and drive out of the park with a game drive en-route as you head back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your hotel / residence in Nairobi or at the airport to catch your flight back home.
