Detailed 4-Day Masai Mara Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Masai Mara
Our company representative will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi after breakfast and drive you to Kenya’s most famous park, Masai Mara National Reserve.
It is known for its large numbers of wildebeests, elephants, buffaloes, gazelles, antelopes, zebras, big cats, and many bird species across the savanna plains.
The famous migration across the Mara River happens between July and early October.
You will stop briefly to enjoy the view of the Great Rift Valley escarpment before continuing your journey. You will arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch.
After lunch, check in at your lodge, freshen up, and then head out for an afternoon game drive. Return for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Balloon Safari & Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara
Get ready for a balloon safari and full day of wildlife viewing. Start with an early morning game drive to look for predators that may have hunted the night before.
Watch for lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas. You can also enjoy the sunrise over the plains. Return to the lodge for breakfast.
You can choose to carry a packed lunch and continue with your game drive or return to the lodge for a hot lunch and some rest before going out again.
Exploring different parts of the reserve at different times gives you a better chance of seeing more wildlife. After the day’s activities, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve
Wake up to another day of exploring Masai Mara. You will have game drives in separate sessions, which allows time to also enjoy the lodge’s facilities or optional activities.

Day 4: Drive Back to Nairobi
This is the last day of your safari. After breakfast, check out of the lodge and go for one last game drive as you leave the park. You will stop for lunch on the way, then continue your drive back to Nairobi. You will be dropped at the airport for your flight back home.
