Detailed Kenya Family Holidays’ Package
Day 1: Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve
When you arrive in Nairobi with a morning flight, you will meet and greet with our company representative who will pick you up, give you a full briefing about the safari and then depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve. You will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point for photo shoot. Further drive through Narok town a home to the Masai and arrive Masai Mara in the afternoon, in time for lunch and thereafter an afternoon game drive. Dinner ans overnight stay at your lodge / camp.
Day 2: Game Drive in Masai Mara
On this day, you can choose to either do a half day or full day game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. With high chances of spotting the Big 5 (lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants and rhinos) among other wildlife like wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, hippos and crocodiles in the Mara River. This day will be best planned by you depending on what you were able to see the previous day. You will have a picnic lunch or have lunch back at your lodge or camp. Optional activities for the day include: An afternoon visit to Masai village or hot air balloon safari over the Mara (at an extra cost). Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
Day 3: Drive to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you will transfer to Lake Naivasha, a drive that takes you back through the Masai land and Narok town arriving at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch. Wildlife-rich Lake Naivasha is both a scenic stop in its own right and a great base for hikes to Hell’s Gate National Park and Mount Longonot. After lunch, transfer to Lake Naivasha jetty where you will board the boat for a refreshing and rewarding boat ride of Lake Naivasha which offers you the opportunity to see some aquatic life, different bird species, hippos etc.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
Have your breakfast and then depart for Lake Nakuru National park, make stops at the lodge where you will check in, pick your lunch boxes for the day and head out for a mid-morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National park, renowned for its vast number of bird species-Flamingos and pelicans as well a home to the Rhinos, a member of the Big 5 (black and white) among other animal species. After you lunch, embark on another game drive before retiring back to your accommodation facility for relaxation, dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 5: Game drive in Lake Nakuru NP & Transfer to Amboseli
Wake up to a beautiful morning in the wilderness and prepare for a morning game drive around the bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru, dotted with pink flamingos and other species of birds. Other animals can be sighted in the park including the Rothschild’s Giraffe, reedbucks, waterbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and several other species of plains game. Hit the road to Amboseli National park via Nairobi with a stopover lunch. Arriving in the evening. Relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
Day 6: Game drive in Amboseli
The park with a postcard worthy backdrop of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Spend a full day within this beautiful national park viewing wildlife as well as birds and exploring the natural ecosystem that exists within this park as you view and photograph the scenic landscape which characterizes this park. Enjoy the morning and afternoon game drives. Picnic lunch or lunch back at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.
Day 7: End of trip – Back to Nairobi
Wake up to an early morning breakfast after which you will go a morning game drive in search of the animals you might have missed out on yesterday. Return to the lodge or camp for lunch and then after embark on your journey back to Nairobi, take your last glance at the picturesque backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro on your way out of the park. The driver / guide will drop you off at your residence / hotel or to the airport for your flight back home.
