Detailed 6-Day Wildebeest Migration Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve
On arrival at Nairobi airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will give you a briefing about your Wildebeest Migration Safari. You can choose to take a domestic flight from Wilson Airport to the Mara, or you can drive with your guide to Masai Mara National Reserve.
You will enjoy a short game drive on the way to your lodge or camp in Mara North Conservancy, where you will see your first wildlife.
Day 2: Game Drive in Mara North Conservancy
Start your day with an early morning game drive to catch the sunrise and take great photos. You will spend the day exploring the wildlife in Mara North Conservancy.
You can carry packed lunch and spend the whole day on game drives with a picnic in the wild, or you can return to the lodge for a hot lunch between shorter drives. In the evening, return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania
After breakfast, you will transfer to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
Day 4: Migration Game Drives in Serengeti
Today, you will enjoy a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. The morning game drive starts at 6:30 am, and the evening game drive starts at 4:00 pm. You will have a good chance to see the migrating herds and predators following them.
Day 5: Visit Ngorongoro Crater & Transfer to Karatu
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend into the crater for a game drive that lasts until 3:00 pm. Later, transfer to Karatu town for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer to Arusha & Departure
After breakfast, drive to Arusha for your departure. You will be dropped off at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight, depending on the departure time.
