Detailed Kenya Solo Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning meet with our company representative at your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport and after full briefing depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, the most famous park in Kenya. Renowned for the great wildebeest migration. You will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley and marvel at its scenic environment. Reach the Mara in the afternoon, have lunch and then embark on an afternoon game drive that will introduce you to the wild side of Kenya. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 2: Game drives in Masai Mara

Full day game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve at different times of the day to have a chance to see the great and famous wildebeest migration. You can opt to carry packed lunch and have a picnic in the wilderness as you view the spectacular view of the Mara River dotted with schools of hippos and crocodiles, or come back to the lodge after a morning game drive, have a hot lunch and relax before heading out for another thrilling game drive in the Mara. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

After your breakfast, you will go for an early morning game drive as you head out of the Mara on your way to Lake Nakuru National park via Narok town where you will have a stopover for lunch.  Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives. “The Bird Watchers’ Paradise” on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park.

You will arrive in the evening, check into your accommodation facility and then head out for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp. Optional activity on this day: Hot Air Balloon Safari over the Masai Mara (at an extra cost)

Day 4: Game drive in Lake Nakuru NP and transfer to Amboseli

After your early morning breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and go for your last game drive as you leave Lake Nakuru NP heading to Amboseli National Park via Nairobi. Renowned for its vast herds of Elephants roaming the park. You will have lunch en-route, Arriving Amboseli in the evening, you will do nothing much than check in and have a relaxing evening at the lodge enjoying the available amenities / services like a massage at your own expense. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 5: Game drives in Amboseli National Park

Prepare for a full day game drive in Amboseli National park. You can choose to either leave the lodge / camp with packed lunches or return to the lodge for fresh hot lunch and then head back out to continue your game drive, driving to different corners of the park. On a good day and clear skies Amboseli National park offers amazing views of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro further in Tanzania. The backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro adds a spectacular picturesque view to the park. Later in the evening, return to the lodge / camp for a relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer back to Nairobi

You come to the end of your wildlife safari in the amazing Kenya. Have your breakfast and then hit the road back to Nairobi to your hotel / residence or be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
