The Masai Mara National Game reserve can be visited all year round but there are favorable months depending on your interests. There are two seasons in Masai Mara National Game reserve: The dry and wet season. They both come in two phases. The dry season runs from December to February and Mid June to September. The wet seasons run from October to November and March to mid June. Mara Weather in April is one of the months during this wet season which runs from March to Mid June. Being that it’s in the middle of the season, we expect by this time that the rains have intensified.
Traveling during this time is usually not recommended since the trails are muddy and wet. Sometimes it can also be less enjoyable depending on the person but it can be a great adventure for some other people. It will although limit you on certain things like you may avoid a certain trail when it’s impassable and may miss out on photo opportunities.

Try not to have very tight clothes while in the Masai Mara National Game reserve. Loose clothes will give you a chance to manage both heat and the cold.
