Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi and driven to Masai Mara National Reserve. You will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, then continue through Narok town and arrive at your lodge or camp for lunch.

In the afternoon, go for a game drive in Masai Mara, which is known for its black-maned lions and the yearly wildebeest migration from Serengeti to Mara. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara

After early breakfast, spend the whole day exploring Masai Mara. You can choose to carry a picnic lunch to enjoy near the Mara River or return to the lodge for a hot lunch.

During game drives, you may see the Big Five, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, hippos, and crocodiles. From July to October, millions of wildebeests and zebras cross into the Mara from Serengeti. Return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park

Go for an early morning game drive before breakfast for a chance to see predators that may still be active. Return to the lodge for breakfast, then check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Arrive in the afternoon, have lunch, and relax at your lodge or camp. Dinner and overnight stay.

Optional: Hot air balloon safari in Masai Mara (extra cost).

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru, known for its birdlife, including flamingos (now fewer due to rising water levels). Other animals include Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, reedbucks, waterbucks, baboons, buffaloes, and various plains game. After lunch, drive to Nairobi. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel in the city.

Day 5: Nairobi to Lake Manyara National Park (via Arusha)

You will be picked up early from your hotel in Nairobi and driven to Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania via the Namanga border. After completing immigration formalities and breakfast in Arusha, continue to Lake Manyara.

Go on a game drive in the park, which is home to tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, and flamingos. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 6: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast and a short morning game drive in Lake Manyara, drive to Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive in the afternoon and descend into the crater for a game drive. Enjoy your lunch at Ngoitoktok Springs. The crater is home to the Big Five and many other animals. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, check out and drive to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in time for lunch, then go for an afternoon game drive. Serengeti is known for wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, elephants, hippos, and giraffes. It is also a good place to spot lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Full Day in Serengeti

Spend the day exploring Serengeti. The name “Serengeti” means endless plains in the Maasai language. You may see large groups of animals across the park. If visiting during the migration season, you may see thousands of animals on the move. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast and a morning game drive in Serengeti, drive to Tarangire National Park. Have lunch on the way. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and animals like giraffes, zebras, and pythons. It is a peaceful park in northern Tanzania. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Day 10: Tarangire to Arusha – End of Safari

After breakfast, go for a final game drive in Tarangire. Then drive to Arusha, where your safari ends. You will be dropped at the airport for your flight home or at your hotel in Arusha.
