Detailed 20-Day Kenya Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Our company driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel for check-in. If you arrive early, you may go for a short city tour. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Visit Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center
After breakfast, visit Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see baby elephants being fed and playing in the mud. Then go to the Giraffe Center, where you can feed and take photos with giraffes. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, drive to Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya. Stop for lunch on the way. Arrive in the afternoon and go for a short game drive before checking in at your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Full Day in Samburu
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive. Look for lions, leopards, elephants, Grevy’s zebras, giraffes, oryx, kudu, gerenuk, and many birds. Take photos and enjoy the wild. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and rest.
Day 5: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive south to Lake Nakuru National Park with packed lunch. Arrive in the afternoon and go for a game drive. Look out for lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, and flamingos (seasonal). Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
Have breakfast, then go for a short morning game drive before heading to Masai Mara. Arrive for lunch, then take an afternoon game drive to see elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and more. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Days 7 & 8: Explore Masai Mara
Spend two days exploring Masai Mara. Search for the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos. You may also see wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, cheetahs, hyenas, crocodiles, and many birds. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 9: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Optional early morning game drive or hot air balloon ride (extra cost). After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Crescent Island for a nature walk or short game drive. See zebras, buffalos, giraffes, and monkeys. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 10: Explore Hell’s Gate National Park
After breakfast, visit Hell’s Gate National Park. Walk or ride bikes while seeing gazelles and other animals. You can also hike or try rock climbing (optional). Enjoy packed lunch. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 11: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, located near Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive to see elephants and other animals. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 12: Full Day in Amboseli
Start early with a sunrise game drive. Look for lions, leopards, or hyenas. After breakfast, continue with game drives. You may see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and many birds. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, exit Amboseli with a game drive on the way out. Drive to Tsavo West National Park. Visit Mzima Springs and see fish, hippos, and birds. After lunch and some rest, go for a game drive. Look for lions, elephants, zebras, ostriches, and rhinos at the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East National Park with a short game drive on the way. Tsavo East is known for red-dust elephants and Tsavo lions. Enjoy a game drive, then check in at your lodge or camp for dinner and rest.
Day 15: Full Day in Tsavo East
After breakfast, spend the whole day exploring Kenya’s largest park. It has wide open grasslands and savanna. Animals to spot include elephants, lions, leopards, zebras, impalas, crocodiles, and more. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 16: Tsavo East to Mombasa
Start the day with an early game drive. Return for breakfast, check out, and drive to Mombasa. Have lunch along the way. Arrive at your beach resort in the afternoon. Check in and relax. Dinner and overnight stay.
Days 17-19: Mombasa Beach Leisure
Spend three days at the beach. Swim, sunbathe, walk on the sand, or enjoy water activities like snorkeling, diving, or windsurfing. You can also visit Mombasa Marine Park. Enjoy your time however you wish. Dinner and overnight stay each night.
Day 20: Departure
After breakfast, relax at the resort. Depending on your flight time, your driver will take you to Mombasa Airport or drive you to Nairobi (about 7–8 hours) for your international flight.
