The Masai Mara ecosystem in Kenya covers an area of about 1,510 square kilometers. It is the most visited conservation area in the country. The reserve is located in the south western part of Kenya and shares a border with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

During this period, the area receives rain and the grass grows well.
The altitude of the Masai Mara ecosystem ranges between 1,480 and 2,280 meters above sea level. Because of this height, the temperatures are not very hot. The temperature usually ranges between 12 and 31 degrees Celsius. Rainfall averages about 3.4 inches per month.
